Our Story

Guerilla Catering was born from a desire to feed people and make them happy. I thought what better and more crafted way than a taco to deliver flavor and smiles. In 2010, I opened a neighborhood taco shop in North Beach, San Francisco, where the kitchen served as a lab for all our experimental and whacky tacos. "The Big Pig" was a favorite: a juicy carnitas taco wrapped with crisp bacon and a crunchy outer shell. Word quickly spread, and we were asked to take our tacos out of the shop and onto the road. Soon we were feeding indie-music festivals, trunk sales, and Burning Man. Helicoptering our tacos to the playa and satisfying hungry dance mobs at sunrise made me realize how many more people we could feed by catering. So in 2013, I sold the shop and relocated our operations to Hunters Point Navy, which houses a community of other food-preneurs and artists alike. From "The Base," what we affectionately call our new kitchen, we now feed more people and produce more smiles by the thousands. We're grateful for the growth and honored to be able to keep doing what we love the most: making fresh tacos daily and delivering them directly to you.

We Believe In

Proudly in our 7th year of catering, we continue to strive in being as dynamic and diverse as our flavor profiles. We believe we are the sum of our parts; a grateful bunch who come from different ethnicities and cultures, yet work harmoniously together. Being a woman-owned-and-operated, small business, we also believe in the enterprising power of women. Our full-time managers are also a full-time mothers. Our kitchen is a female-led crew. We promote from within, provide maternity leave, and stay loyal to local, family-owned suppliers. We support the power of giving back, which is why we donate food and proceeds to charities that support women, kids, and tech. Supporting tacos= supporting your community.
